Dry Wall Finishing

Give this company your business and you won't be let down. I found the Wall Doctors online. I had never sublet this type of work out for my DIY home projects. I am so glad I did. Drywall finishing is so important to the final quality of the project. The work Martin did was flawless and he did things I didn't even know he had because they were so seamless.

When I called four days before I was hoping to have the work done I doubted it was possible. I was proved wrong by Brandon as he worked with me on a quote and scheduled the project for the coming Saturday. Martin was punctual, efficient, and cleaned up so well that I didn't have to even dust.

Ken followed up twice to make sure I was completely satisfied with the work. It's nice to know there are still companies out there that take pride in the work they do.

Garage Drywall Taping and Painting

I would like to express my appreciation for the excellent work performed by Wall Doctors at my home in Bolingbrook, IL.  Five contractors provided estimates to tape the drywall I had installed in my garage.  Of those five contractors, Ken Greenwood of Wall Doctors stood head and shoulders above the rest in terms of his professionalism, courtesy, and attention to detail during the estimation and proposal process.  Although Ken's estimate was not the lowest, I was confident that he would accomplish the work that he proposed to do and that I would end up with a high quality job.  I was not disappointed!  Although I intended to do the painting myself, in addition to the taping, Ken proposed to paint the project as well and provided a price that I'm sure was below that which I could have obtained elsewhere.  Ken and his crew started work two days later and finished the entire job in just two days.  The project turned out beautiful with the finished walls and ceiling exceeding the quality of work that my home contractor provided inside the house!  I recommend Wall Doctors to anyone seeking professional quality work done in their home.

Bathroom Drywall Work

Ken and his employees did a wonderful job at our home. The drywall work in our bathroom is excellent. He also changed an ugly popcorn ceiling into a smooth drywall ceiling. I can't thank him enough. His employees were very careful and did a great job with the clean up. I would highly recommend Ken and his company. We intend to use his company for our next project.

Home Rehab

I am a rehabber and I contacted multiple contractors to give me a very specific complete bid. Ken was the only contractor that gave me a complete bid and timeframe. His price was comprable to other contractors I have used in the past, so I decided to give him the job. He came in and in 3 weeks finished new ceramic kitchen floors, 2 new ceramic bathrooms, refinished the bathtubs, new interior and exterior doors and trim, kitchen cabinets, wall repair and paint throught the 2000 sq ft home. He gave great me some great ideas on finishing touches and I will definately be working with him again and again. If you want quality results at a good price, call Ken, he will take care of you.

Large Paint & Wall Repair Work

Ken and his associates were very polite and professional. We contracted them to paint and do minor repairs on most of the walls in our house. It was a large job, but they completed it in a very timely fashion and even finished a day early. There was a lot of furniture and things that need to be moved, since we were living in the house while it was being painted. The men never complained and moved everything for painting then back to its original place with out any problems. The painting took several days, but each night the men were very good about cleaning up after themselves. They consulted us and painted the rooms in an order that would be least disruptive to our lives. They did an excellent job fixing all of the little holes from old wall anchors and other marks and cracks in the drywall. The walls themselves ... and professional. Sent Me Pictures As Work Was Being Done

Absolutely wonderful!!!! We are so thrilled with the work that was done, it is perfect! You hear all of these horror stories about people hiring contractors and them being unreliable and incompetent and everything taking forever, nothing could be further from the truth with the Wall Doctor. Initially when I called to get a quote he wowed me by showing up not more than 30 minutes later, the quote I received was so reasonable I couldn't even haggle with him! Then he told me that the work would be done by the end of the following week and I was amazed when he called on Tuesday to set it up for Wednesday. Ken kept me informed and even sent me pictures during the day of the work being done. It was such an enjoyable experience and I could not be happier with the end result. We will definitely be calling on Ken and crew again and I simply can't give him a higher recommendation. Again, absolutely wonderful~

Drywall Repair / Painting / Taping Job

I contacted Ken on a Thursday morning and that afternoon he came by to look at the job and provide a estimate. They started work on the following Monday and completed the job on Wednesday as originally estimated. Communication with Ken was great as well as the quality of their work. They completed substantial drywall repair/re-taping and painted. I would hire them again and would recommend to others.

Two-Story Foyer Work

I had Ken come in to quote our two-story foyer painting project. He is the only one I quoted since Wall Doctor had great reviews from a couple of websites. He came in and explained everything that he would do, as well as the time that it would take. He was very professional and did a complete walk through of the area before giving his price. I thought it was reasonable, so I agreed to his price without hesitation. A day before the work began, Ken called me as a courtesy to make sure we had everything squared away for the job. I appreciated this because he made sure all of my expectations were met. The morning of the job, I removed the wall plates, air registers, and handrail to help make their prep time easier. When the crew of three painters came to perform the work, they were very meticulous in preparing the walls and floor for the paint. I was expecting only the typical tape and drop cloth, but the painters also caulked the gaps in the wood trim before painting...they also sanded down the walls. To cap it all off, the painters even reinstalled the wall plates and handrail hardware the *I* removed. About an hour after the job was complete, Ken called me to make sure everything was done to my satisfaction. Not only are we satisfied, we'll be hiring them again for more work this summer (when we finish our basement).

Great High Wall Painting Job

 

I needed some high walls painted in our Montgomery, IL home. I got a few quotes from a couple companies in Montomgery, Oswego and Aurora. Everyone came out and gave our walls a quick look than an estimate. Ken not only looked over all the walls and explained what he needed to and how the light would reflect off the walls in certain areas, he also gave us the best painting quote! After he was finished, he cleaned everything up and the walls looked perfect.
 
I wish I wasn't moving outside Illinois or I would use him again as a painter for my next painting job! I would recommend anytime.

Basement Renovation Work

Ken just finished a full basement reno for us, from start to finish. It went from rough cement walls to stunning in just a few short weeks. I am so impressed with Ken and the quality of the work of his team. If he wasn't happy with it, it got re-done. He came up with solutions to odd cornes and ceiling beams that I never would have considered. I was kept in the loop every step of the way. Our basement is now done and we are enjoying every minute of it.

3 Different Projects

I contracted with Ken for 3 different projects: 1) drywall holes, 2) ceiling joints, 3) re-paint bathrooms and install new exhaust fans. Ken's team did an excellent job of repairing the drywall, and the way they fixed the ceiling joints so that there would be no issues of cracking in the future was brilliant. The bathroom jobs turned out great, and my wife and I are very pleased to have virtually brand new bathrooms in our house. I highly recommend the Wall Doctors for your projects.

Excellent Painting & Repair Work

We are about to put our home on the market and when I was removing the many pictures from my office, the sticky tape I used on them created wholes and tears in the drywall...about a dozen total! I tried just painting over them, but it didn't work. Ken from The Wall Doctor came out, gave me a free estimate and started work the following day. He was able to repair the drywall and paint the entire office again for me. The painting job was excellent and the price was 20% less than the other two illinois companies I talked with. We are looking for a home in Aurora or Naperville, so hopefully I will have him come out to paint in our new home as well.‎

Chair Rail Re-Do

My husband did his best putting up chair rail in our small bedroom, but he is no handyman! After 3 months of not completing the work, he...well I finally gave up. Ken came out and gave me an estimate to ro-do all the work my husband had done. He was able to remove the old chair rail, fix the walls and add new chair rail within a few hours. The room finally looks like it's supposed to. Thank you!

Paint Job

FINALLY A JOB DONE RIGHT: After living in our home for 3 years with 4 young children, it was time to paint over the contractor paint that crumbled every time i tried to wash it! I had hired painters in the past at our previous home and for the exterior trim of our new home (through a neighbor referral) and have NEVER hired the same painter twice- until NOW! I am incredibly picky and have incredibly high expectations- that is why i have never re-hired a painter- i have never been 100% satisfied with the jobs done. Because of the size of our home, we had decided to paint in phases- that way if a job was not exactly right- it was only one room,so we decided to start with the dining room. I had 3 companys come quote work i wanted done.

I found the Wall Doctor on line. He was the first company to call me back and set up a time to come quote the job. I was very impressed with all of the companys that came to quote the jobs- but Ken and Brandon took the time to actually REALLY LOOK at the walls and explain to me the process of the job. They were not the most expensive quote or the cheapest quote- but i ultimately decided on them because i felt as though they cared about the outcome of the job as much as i did. Boy was i right!!! i had crown molding (3 tier and STUNNING), chair rail, boxes, and painting done in the room. I can't begin to tell you how many compliments we have recieved on that room. There were 2 times during the installation of the crown molding that i had a different "vision" of the outcome than the direction that they were going and Ken and Brandon went out of their way to make sure that it was done EXACTLY to my expectations! We were very pleased with the outcome of the room- obviously because as i stated before, for the first time ever i have hired the same company for the "second phase"- a much larger job and once again, i could not be happier with Ken's team's professionalism and work done! I know how picky i am (so does Ken!) and they have not disappointed me in the least! This time they even had to work around the kids on thier 1/2 day off of school and were very curtious and patient! I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND them to any of my family and friends- and because of past experience using people that came recommendations, that did not live up to their referral, i am extremely careful passing on recommendations! Ken and his team did a FABULOUS JOB, and i will definitly use them again!!! Get ready for "phase 3" Wall Doctor! Thanks for a job done RIGHT!
